德克萨斯农工大学Texas A&M University(tamu)是德州第一所高等教育学府，原来的名称是德州农机学院，成立于1876年，大学占地5,142英亩，是全美校园特大的学府之一，1963年正式更名为德州农工大学。学校下设10个学院和分校，其中农学院、商学院、工程院、地球科学院和兽医学院为全美最大的专科学院。尤以工程学院最有名，全美排名第14位，附属于该学院的石油工程学系排名全美第2位，核能工程学系全美第5位，农业工程全美第1位。该校设有138个学士学位、152个硕士学位、102个博士学位，还特设两个专业学位——药学博士和兽医学博士。德州A&M大学是全美前十所拥有全部奖学金、研究基金、捐赠款项和国家成就奖学金的学院之一。
