u Three letters of recommendation
u Official transcripts of all previous college work
u A short statement of objectives.

NOTE: A minimum GRE score of 1000 between the verbal and quantitative is required. A GRE score of at least 425 on the verbal section must be achieved.

Requirements for entering graduate study in food science are:
Ø Mathematics, including college algebra, calculus, and statistics.
Ø Biochemistry and organic chemistry.
Ø A course in physics.
Ø An introductory course in microbiology.
Ø A course in botany, zoology, or biology.
