夏威夷大学系统成立于1907年，共有学生逾65,000人，成员学府共10所，夏威夷马诺大学(简称UHM)的名气最响。这是一所学费特别便宜的公立大学，再加上大学每年花费在每名学生身上的费用高达1,640美元，可谓“超值学府”。

Admission Requirements
Ø hold a bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited institution of higher learning
Ø have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above
Ø have taken one course each in organic chemistry, microbiology, biological science (in addition to microbiology), college physics, and biochemistry
Ø arrange for two confidential recommendations (utilizing departmental recommendation MS Word or Acrobat PDF forms)
Ø submit GRE scores
Ø obtain admission clearance by the Graduate Division.
国际生TOEFL 成绩必须至少达到：580 minimum (600 recommended, 250 computer, iBT 100).
Admission may be possible without prerequisites, in which case the student must complete deficiencies in the first year.
