Faculty Position in Microbiology and Genetics
The Department of Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is renewable subject to performance. Primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to teach microbiology for nonmajors, introductory genetics, and occasionally introductory biology for nonmajors. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or D.V.M., experience in classroom teaching, and be committed to undergraduate education and outreach. Evidence of teaching excellence is a plus.
