Please read this information carefully as you prepare to apply for Fall 2012. Admission to Princeton is for the Fall Semester only. We do not offer evening, weekend, or summer courses. Further information can also be found at the Office of Graduate Admission site.
Application materials are available here. Please note that you are no longer required to mail in transcripts. They are to be uploaded as part of the online application.

Deadlines: All materials must reach the Graduate Admissions Office by the December 15, 2011 deadline. The only exception is GRE and TOEFL scores, which must reach us by January 15.
It is your responsibility to have all materials sent in a timely manner. An incomplete application will seriously hurt your chances for admission. Late applications will not be considered. Do not send any materials directly to the department.

The application fee is $90. Your application will not be considered without submission of the fee. Fee waivers are available for US citizens or permanent residents only, and must be requested by December 1 through the web application.

We require the GRE general exam of all applicants. The exam should be taken no later than October (paper-based) or December (computer-based). Our school code is 2672. No department code is required.

All international applicants whose native language is not English and who have not received their undergraduate education in a U.S. college or university must submit scores from either TOEFL or IELTS. We do not require or accept TWE scores in place of these. Beginning with Fall 2009 applications we will no longer accept paper-based or computer-based TOEFL. If you submit TOEFL you must submit iBT. We will continue to accept IELTS.
