A postdoctoral scientist position is available in the Center for Environmental Systems Biochemistry (CESB) to work with Drs. Teresa Fan, Andrew Lane and Richard Higashi on Cancer metabolism. CESB focuses on stable isotope tracer methods to determine metabolic reprogramming in cancer cells, and the impact of the tumor microenvironment, using a variety of analytical methods including mass spectrometry and NMR, cell culture and cell biology, genetic manipulations, mouse models and human subject research in several cancers. The position requires a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject, and with experience in these areas, a working knowledge of metabolic biochemistry and cell biology, and a desire to learn new approaches to cancer biochemistry.
Experience in data analyses of NMR or mass spectrometry and in animal handling techniques are very desirable skills.
