Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Advanced Electronic Materials
A Bloomberg Distinguished Professorship in the Physics of Advanced Electronic Materials is available at The Johns Hopkins University. This position is one of 50 new Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships designated for outstanding scholars who carry out interdisciplinary research and teaching in areas identified for significant growth at the University. The position will be jointly tenured in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the Whiting School of Engineering and in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. Applicants should possess a distinguished record of scientific accomplishments in the physics of bulk materials, thin films, interfaces, or nanostructures. The Bloomberg professor will be an outstanding teacher at the undergraduate and graduate level compatible with being tenured at The Johns Hopkins University. Applicants should have a record of cross-disciplinary collaborations in materials science, condensed matter physics, chemistry, or biological sciences. Investigators interested in correlated electron systems, quantum materials, topological materials, growth and crystallization, or the nano-bio interface are especially encouraged to apply.
